2016 Call for Entries
"Exposing Excellence in Concrete" 

The National Capital Chapter ACI is pleased to announce its 2016 Exposing Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards program that honors the visions of some of the most creative projects the concrete industry has to offer in our region.  Concrete projects of all types are eligible to receive an award in this competition.  Entries will be juried by an independent panel of industry professionals.  This year, for the first time, we will have an "Overall Excellence Award" selected.  This project will move forward into the International competition to be held at Fall Convention 2017.   Award Dinner will be held November 16th, 2016! 

Eligibility:

Projects must be completed between January 1, 2014 and July 31, 2016.  Project must be in the following area:  Washington DC, Alexandria, Arlington, Montgomery, Fairfax, Prince George's, Prince William and Loudoun Counties.  The project submitted must consist of new construction substantially complete. 

Categories:  Transportation, Repair or Restoration, Public Works, Tilt Up, Decorative, Innovated Use of Concrete, Commercial Mid to High Rise, Residential Mid to High Rise. 

Judging Criteria:  Overall judging will include design, workmanship, creativity, functionality, technical innovation and problem solving.  ACI encourages and supports the jury's discretion in its choice of projects and the professionalism and expertise of the individual jurors.

Please register to receive the award submittal information.  We will electronically send this to you once you sign up.  Please note that ALL criteria needs to be met for project to be approved to entry into the competition.
