NCCACI Presents

"Reshoring 101"

Thursday March 12, 2020

DoubleTree Tyson's Corner

Speaker:  Jennifer V. Rouchard, PE

Abstract:

This presentation will discuss basic reshoring principles, rules of thumb and special design cases. It will go over design considerations and the importance of project specific engineering. Reshoring has a significant positive impact on project schedule and quantity of material for multistory buildings. It is essential for contractors to have close, detailed communication with the reshoring designer to understand the load path and sequence of construction. Guidance will also be provided for estimating the number of levels of reshoring on a project.
